Sarah Sobek

Born and raised in Northern California, I grew up surrounded by a very large loving Italian family and surfing the beaches of Santa Cruz. After graduating high school in 1995, I joined the US Army where I met my husband of 25 years.  

I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in corporate accounting in 2004 and from Syracuse University with a Master’s Degree in Forensic Accounting in 2018. I have over 20 years of full cycle accounting experience in many industries, including public accounting, the US government, news media, luxury goods, e-commerce, gaming, professional sports, and entertainment.  

I currently live in New York and bring many years of compassion and life experience of caregiving for my husband who sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD, among other things. I devote my life and time to helping him navigate the world of mental health and I have personally battled the system’s challenges as his advocate with my heart and soul for almost 20 years. 

I love my family, friends, music, food, and helping those in need.  I believe a smile can change a life, and changing just one life can change the world.
